One case report and literature review of primary pulmonary candidiasis

Abstract:

Primary pulmonary candidiasis is rarely occurred, and is easy to be misdiagnosed due to unspecific clinical manifestations and imaging findings. To improve the awareness of primary pulmonary candidiasis and reduce the misdiagnosis of the disease, this paper discusses the diagnosis and treatment of the disease on the basis of a case, and focuses on the contribution of serum test in the diagnosis of invasive pulmonary fungal infections, the imaging findings of the disease and the possibility that Herxheimer reaction occurs in the course of treatment.
