Situation of self-perceived health among old floating population in Shanghai

Abstract:

Objective · To learn the situation of self-perceived health among old floating population in Shanghai, provide basis for improving health of old floating population. Methods · To Use and analyse the related data from 2015 national family planning dynamic monitoring of the floating population health survey. Results · 752 old floating people had involved in the survey, and 53.7% of them self-perceived in good health; 43.1% of them were in basically health; 2.9% of them were in poor health, but had self care ability; 0.3% of them had no self care ability. 23.1% of them were diagnosed with high blood pressure or diabetes. Situation of self-perceived health among old floating population with different age, household type, marital status, number of friends were significantly different. Conclusion · Self-perceived health status among old floating population were relatively good, and there were significantly different among old floating population with different characters. It is necessary to pay more attention to them, help them integrate into local life, improve their health awareness as well as take advantage of basic health service.
